We did it.

We really freakin’ did it.

I’m not going to lie; I might have jumped off the couch and gave a massive fist pump when I heard the news just a short while ago. ESPN’s Jeff Passan was the first to break the latest news in the ongoing saga involving Major League Baseball and its controversies with its updates to the uniforms worn by players and coaches during the 2024 baseball season.

In a very surprising and unexpected change of plans, Major League Baseball has reversed course, and sent out a memo to the MLB Players Union, which was then passed along to the players, notifying them of plans to address the issues with the current 2024 template of uniforms being worn by the players and coaches. The league plans on reverting back to the previous sized lettering for the names on the back of the jerseys and addressing issues with the discrepancies of coloring on the fabrics used to create the uniforms and unfortunate, see-through fashion of the pants worn by the players and coaches. Also, the jerseys inability to make use of the moisture-wicking technology, that seems to be absent from this latest version of the uniform, is said to be addressed and corrected as well.

The picture that started it all.
