Sole Separation: Walking Away from Sneakers
This is going to be a little bit different than what you have become accustomed to seeing me write about.
We all have certain things in life that we are passionate about, have spent years enjoying and sharing with the world around us. One of mine is sneakers.
Some would call it an obsession. I don’t like to use the word obsession, simply because it feels like it has this negative connotation attached to it. Enthusiasm is a similar word used to describe the same thing but has a positive aura that seems to surround it when it replaces the word obsession.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been one to have many hobbies and interests. Hobbies were a way to keep me busy with activities, stay out of trouble, and to keep from thinking about or dwelling on bad things that might have been happening during my childhood like my parent’s divorce when I was younger. My mom did the best she could for me and allowed me to be my own person, finding the things I would grow to be passionate about. I can’t thank her enough and will forever be thankful for her sacrifices. Mom, I love you and thank you.
Sports was my first love and is probably the thing I am most enthusiastic about as far as hobbies go. Growing up, everything else just kind of came and went in phases. Action Figures, Batman and Ninja…
